Here is the "rack room" at NextMedia/Joliet.  It is large, but if you're a geek, you can see the equipment pretty well!

Left wall: 

Silence sensor, WLLI, WJTW, WJOL, WBVS.  (It sounds an alarm after 22 seconds of silence)

Left Rack:

Top to bottom:  Marti RPU receiver; Moseley digital encoder/STL (WBVS/WJOL to Walnut St.);  Dolby digital STL (WJTW/WLLI to Walnut St.);  Symetrix processors (feeding the DSTL's) in order...WBVS, WJTW, WLLI, WJOL; Tone decoder, WJOL; Sat receivers, WJOL; MetroSource screen.

Center Rack:

Top to bottom:  Rolls receivers WBVS, WJTW, WLLI;  Audio/Serial port switcher, WLLI/WJTW voicetrack system;  SAGE Endec EAS with multi-station relay;  SAGE Endec EAS receiver;  Will County ESDA receiver for EAS;  WJOL DCS system;  WBVS DCS system.

Right Rack:

Top to bottom:  Distribution amps to send program audio to different places, WBVS, WJTW, WLLI. WJOL;  Remote equipment switcher, allows incoming feeds to be distributed to the "remote pot" in each studio...routes Marti F1 signal, Marti F2 signal, ISDN feed, Comrex HotLine feed, WJOL program feed;  Comrex Nexus ISDN codec; Comrex HotLine POTS codec;  Production DCS system;  WJTW DCS system; WLLI DCS hard drive "cage"; WLLI DCS system.

Yup, the wiring is a bit messy.  It's an ongoing process to clean it up!!
